Coastal Adventures

Pacific Coast Highway stretches from the Oregon Border to the beaches of Southern California. The scenery rivals any shoreline in the world and is a must-see for anyone visiting. There is no reason to visit the entire length of the shoreline, but instead focus on an area adjacent to other areas you are visiting. For example, visiting San Francisco? Try the peninsula and Monterey.

Eating and Drinking

From greasy diners to find dining, there is all sorts of options in every corner of the state

From traditional Mexican Food in Southern California on the street known as the birthplace of Los Angeles, you will find that many of the merchants are descended from the original vendors.  Strolling mariachi musicians, tacos, taquitos at the outdoor cafes  Watch Aztec and Mexican folkloric dancers.  Browse and buy handcrafted items and Mexican folk art.  All in a romantic recreation/preservation of Old Los Angeles on a long, narrow tree-shaded market with old structures, brightly painted stalls.

Visit the Central Coast and find another region of fine wines, beautiful scenery and coast line dotted with small towns and great sea food.

Sea food, cheeses, fine wines and spectacular scenery as you head North in the State.

Food festivals and events are spectacular and a great way to sample all the tasty delights in the State.  Consider this your “appetizer” of information.
